Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.

Storyteller Ona Louise grew up in the buckle of the Bible Belt, but always dreamed of bright lights and big city living. Introduction to Hypnosis for Birth

Hypnosis for birth is a technique that has proven to help provide relief from stress, tension and offers a natural alternative to pain management especially in labor and birth. It includes mindfulness and meditation techniques that can be practiced prenatally and be extremely helpful in pregnancy, labor and birth.

In this session we will cover how to write and deliver a meditation sequence and how to set up and conduct a session either as a separate class or integrated within a prenatal class. Includes alignment, postures and positions to help and promote relaxation and comfort for an expecting parent.

Complete Core with Solange Ross

This session will cover alignment, posture and safety when working with expecting and new parents. We will specifically teach what muscles include the 'core' - diaphragm, abdominal muscles, pelvic floor and multifidus and how to engage them safely in different postures and modifying for safety.

We will also teach how to recognize diastasis recti and postures and positions contrainidcated and reccomended for the issue. Includes yoga techniques specialized to the needs of the pregnant woman, including practice and teaching skills for trimester-specific yoga techniques. We will teach how to get in and out of each pose as well as an explanation of muscle dynamics and proper alignment as well as benefits, contraindications, how to use props and effective vocal cues and physical hands on adjustments.

Please join Marissa Velarde in a 90 minute vinyasa class to benefit the New York Abortion Access Fund. We'll move through an energizing flow accessible to all levels and end with a long, deep relaxation sequence. Yoga mats and props will be available, but you're welcome to use your own.

Proceeds will benefit the New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF), which helps individuals access abortion care. With the current political climate and reproductive rights constantly under attack, it's vital to support grassroots organizations that are fighting back.

In the wake of the 2016 presidential election there has been a rise in harassment and violence in the U.S. If you desire to rise up, speak out, and intervene when you see harassment happening, this event is for you. 

Research shows that as little as a knowing glance can reduce trauma in the face of harassment, but the wrong response can actually increase trauma. 

With so many eager to step up, we need everyone to be equipped with the right information on how to be an effective bystander in the midst of violence enacted within our communities.

This Bystander Intervention Training, is hosted by Hollaback! Deputy Director, Debjani Roy, will arm you with the tools you need to respond to harassment and protect the rights of everyone.

Join Love Child and Bird & Bee Birth Services for a FREE belly and breast casting workshop on March 12th at 1:30 pm. These beautiful and unique mementos are fun to make and are a lovely keepsake. Love Child will host this workshop in the yoga studio for your privacy. The casts take 24 hours to set, so you can pick up your masterpiece the next day. 

Invite your friends and bring a sarong to wear or a change of pants, as the plaster can get a little messy!

INFANT CPR & SAFETY
