Join your fellow New York City Moms and Moms-To-Be for a fun and educational night out. The event will include FREE drinks and appetizers in the back garden, fun local NY vendors and optional workshops. This is an opportunity to get to know other moms in the city and perhaps attend a workshop by one of our talented contributors.
Drinks, appetizers and mingling will be in effect all night. Below is the workshop schedule, everyone is welcomed to attend all, some or none.
5:00 - 5:15 : Panel Introduction
5:15 - 5:45: Return to Work After Baby: Join Jena Booher, a maternal mental health expert in this important discussion in managing your well-being when you return to work. There are tons of resources for women who are trying to achieve the elusive balance of "having it all." One topic that is less discussed, but is incredibly important is the psychological impact of a woman's decision to continue to work or to stay at home after having children.
6:00 - 6:30: Essential Prenatal & Postpartum Exercise : JoinNeelu Shruti, prenatal and postpartum fitness expert, doula and founder of Love Child for a conversation on the essential exercises and areas of focus in pregnancy birth and postpartum. Learn how to modify your existing workouts in pregnancy and must-do exercises for a quicker labor and easier birth. For postpartum parents, we’ll talk about efficient core exercises, what you really need to know about Kegels and quick, simple routines you can fit into your busy days.
6:45 - 7:15: Babies First Bites: Intro To Solids 101: Join Michelle Muller, Co-founder + Chief Mom of Little Spoon for an informative yet easy to swallow conversation on introducing solids to your little one. We will arm you with our best tips and tricks on how to introduce new ingredients and flavors into your baby’s rapidly developing palate go-to information, share personal anecdotes (including many stories of many messes!), and leave plenty of time to answer any questions about how to raise a well-nourished foodie.
