This session will cover alignment, posture and safety when working with expecting and new parents. We will specifically teach what muscles include the 'core' - diaphragm, abdominal muscles, pelvic floor and multifidus and how to engage them safely in different postures and modifying for safety.
We will also teach how to recognize diastasis recti and postures and positions contrainidcated and reccomended for the issue. Includes yoga techniques specialized to the needs of the pregnant woman, including practice and teaching skills for trimester-specific yoga techniques. We will teach how to get in and out of each pose as well as an explanation of muscle dynamics and proper alignment as well as benefits, contraindications, how to use props and effective vocal cues and physical hands on adjustments.
