Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga at Love Child is a real workout — led by a midwife and highly trained team to build strength, flexibility, and breath awareness; prevent common aches and pains; to help you to continue being active in pregnancy; and to designed for a better birth and easier postpartum recovery.

Classes are open to all trimesters, and are accessible to all levels, even if you’ve never done yoga before. Our classes are intimate with no more than 8-10 people per class. Expect squats (we’re known for them) and lunges, along with safe abdominal exercises and hip and pelvic floor stretches. You'll leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected to your body — and to a room full of people going through exactly what you're going through.

Postnatal Yoga

Postnatal Yoga at Love Child is designed specifically for the postpartum body and what you need to recover well. The class on restoring your core, supporting your pelvic floor, and releasing the tension that accumulates in the neck, shoulders, and back when you're feeding, holding, and carrying a new baby.

Classes are accessible to all levels and move at a pace that respects where your body is right now — whether you're 6 weeks or 6 months postpartum. No more than 8–10 people per class, so you get real attention.

Baby & Me Yoga

Baby & Me Yoga is a movement class for new parents designed to help you reconnect with your body after birth while incorporating your baby into the practice through supported poses, gentle stretching, and play.

Classes are kept small and relaxed. Feeding, fussing, and floor time are all part of it. Alongside the movement, you'll find yourself in a room of other new parents at the same stage — which, for many members, becomes just as valuable as the yoga itself. Suitable for babies from around six weeks through six months / crawling.

Childbirth Education

Our Childbirth Education workshop is a hybrid program — combining self-paced online videos and downloadable materials you work through beforehand with a hands-on, in-home 3-hour workshop that brings it all together. Led by Neelu, a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Spinning Babies instructor who has been present at hundreds of births, the workshop covers everything in one comprehensive session: birth preparation (the stages of labor, pain management, positions, partner support, interventions, and what to actually expect in the room), postpartum planning and recovery, newborn care and baby basics, and breastfeeding fundamentals — grounded in the same holistic, evidence-based approach you already know from our yoga classes. Partners consistently say it's the most useful thing they did to prepare. Recommended in the second or third trimester.

Upcoming dates: April 25th or June 27th, 2026 — 12:30–3:30pm

Pricing: $450 with membership purchase · $500 members · $575 non-members.

Massage & Cupping with Aromatherapy

Our prenatal and postnatal massage sessions are tailored specifically to the pregnant and postpartum body. Sessions target the areas that carry the most load during pregnancy and the early postpartum period: lower back, hips, glutes, shoulders, and neck. Each session includes aromatherapy, using carefully selected essential oils that are safe for pregnancy and the postpartum period — adding an extra layer of relaxation and therapeutic benefit to the treatment. Offered by our specialist massage therapist, sessions can be booked standalone or as part of a regular self-care routine. Members receive a discounted rate. 60 and 90 minute sessions available.

In-Home Lactation Visit

Our in-home lactation visits bring Neelu directly to you. She'll assess latch, positioning, milk supply, and any specific concerns you have — and leave you with a clear, practical plan. Sessions are unhurried, one-on-one, and in the comfort of your own home. Ongoing support by text and phone is available after your visit, and is included for all members. Visits can be booked as a standalone appointment or as part of a membership, in which case your first in-home visit is included.

Classes FAQ

Do I need yoga experience to attend? No. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, whether you've never stepped on a mat or have a regular practice. Every class includes modifications and is taught with your specific stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery in mind.

When can I start prenatal yoga? All trimesters and stages of postpartum are welcome. The earlier you start, the more time you have to build strength, body awareness, and connection — but it's never too late to begin.

What do classes focus on? Beyond movement and breathwork, our classes address what's actually happening in your body at each stage. Prenatal classes build real core and pelvic floor strength, work on posture, and prepare the body for birth. Postnatal classes support recovery. Baby & Me classes are designed to bring parents back into their bodies while keeping babies close.

What should I bring? We provide mats and all props — just bring water and wear comfortable clothes. There's a bathroom on-site.

How do I book a class? Class booking is available through our schedule page at lovechildyoga.com/schedule. Sign up for an intro class by clicking “sign up” on the class you’d like to attend and follow instructions to register and pay. After the intro class, we are membership based. You can apply for membership at lovechildyoga.com/membership. Once you have an active membership, you can sign up for any available class directly from there.

Can I try a class before committing to a membership? Yes — we offer an introductory class for new clients. After that, all classes are membership-only. We don't offer drop-ins.

What is the late cancel and no-show policy? Changes to reservations must be made at least 24 hours before class. Late cancellations and no-shows within that window are charged the cost of class or a $15 fee for members. Classes fill up quickly and there is often a waitlist, so please cancel as early as possible so someone else can take your spot. If you need to cancel last minute, text us at 646.494.4251.

What if a class is full? Join the waitlist — spots open up regularly and members get priority. You'll get a confirmation email automatically if you're moved in. Once you're off the waitlist, the same 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

Do you ever add extra classes? Yes. When demand is high we add slots or split classes to make sure members always get a spot. We'll reach out directly when that happens.

Can I attend class if I'm feeling unwell? Please don't come to class if you're sick. Cancel your spot as early as possible so it can go to someone on the waitlist. Text us at 646.494.4251 to let us know.

What if I'm running late? Please arrive 5 minutes before class starts. If you're more than 5–10 minutes late we may not be able to accommodate you. If you're running behind, text us at 646.494.4251 and we'll do our best.

What age is Baby & Me for? Baby & Me is designed for non-crawling babies, generally under 6 months. Once babies start crawling onto other people's mats, it's time to graduate! That said, we make decisions case by case — reach out if you're not sure.

What should I bring? Bring a swaddle or blanket to place under your baby on the mat. If you're stroller-ing, strollers can be parked outdoors in the private lane near the bicycle rack — you're welcome to bring a lock. Plan to bring your valuables inside but leave diaper bags in the stroller or the closet. Any used diapers need to be taken with you or disposed of outside.

What if my baby is fussy, hungry, or needs a diaper change during class? That's completely expected and totally fine. We've seen it all. You're welcome to feed, change, or soothe your baby at any point during class — the studio is a no-judgment zone and the practice adapts around you.

Do we need to stay for the whole class? Just make it for as much as you can. Babies have unpredictable schedules and we know that. As long as you're here, we'll work with you.

Is there a carrier recommendation? We recommend using a baby carrier when possible for getting to and from the studio, as it makes navigating Patchin Place easier and keeps your hands free.

Getting to the Studio

The studio is at 9 Patchin Place — a private lane behind a gate on 10th St. between 6th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue.

The gate code to enter Patchin Place is 1162#. When you arrive at number 9, ring buzzer 1 to be let in.
